TTOUCH WORKSHOP THIS WEEKEND!!!

We have Kathy Cascade, International TTOUCH Instructor, coming to Houston this weekend (Aug 13th & 14th) for two TTouch Workshops. We have 6 spots left on Saturday and 5 spots left on Sunday. This is a day long workshop that you do with your dog. We will be hosting it here at the Mutt House. You can register and pay on line. It is $80 per team (human/dog). Space is limited due to this being a hands on workshop, so please register now if you would like to attend.

GROOMING & TRAINING, MASSAGE & TTouch

Don't forget we offer Grooming with Todd, and Training with Holly here at the Mutt House.

Check out our training link on our website for scheduled group classes. These classes remain small for individual attention. Also, if you started a class, but have missed a few, please find out when you can do a make up class. We want everyone to succeed!!! The next basic obedience classes will start Aug 20th and Aug 22nd. So sign up now if you would like to attend.

You can also schedule a Massage for your pooch at your home with Terelyn or a private home session of TTouch for your pooch with Shari or Teri.

PARENT/POOCH SOCIALS: 1 Saturday a month

We are going to start doing the Parent/Pooch Socials once a month instead of every Saturday. So we will have something structured and planned for you to do with your dog. Our trainer, Holly, will be involved with these events, so you can get some training questions answered as well. We will list the dates and the scheduled activity or event on the website, so you can see what ones you might be interested in attending. We just want more time to plan them, so it will be something fun for you to do with your kiddo on a Saturday afternoon. It is $10/dog to attend. They will occur 1-3PM, but it will be posted on the website if the time is to ever change. We will also request that you RSVP, even though it is not mandatory

Upcoming Parent/Pooch Social Dates:

Sept 17th: This is Responsible Pet Ownership Day. We will be preserving your dog's paw print in a keepsake tin as well as a few other things to entertain you in celebration of the day. More info to follow.

Oct 15th: Halloween Party: We will do a costume contest and will have plenty of fun things planned. More info to follow.

Nov 5th: This will be our Pre-Christmas party. We will have a professional photographer to take pics of your kiddos with or without you, as well as Santa on hand. As soon we get everything settled with the photographer, you will be able to sign up for a time slot. More info to follow.

CHANGES!!!

Front Area: This past weekend, we did some remodeling. The office area is now becoming the retail area, and the retail area is now our office area. We hope you like the new set up. There is still work to do, but it is coming along nicely. The first two people to e-mail me that they read the newsletter will receive a free Greenie.

Out Back Fence: This past weekend we also added chainlink fence inside the wooden fence as an additional safe guard to keep the dogs from escaping.

Play Rooms: We will be making changes to the set up of the play areas to try and keep the dogs calmer when people are coming and leaving the Mutt House. Now that we are full, it can sometimes be quite the production during pick up. We will be putting up some kind of half wall right when you walk in the door, but until then, please do not reach over the fence when you walk in the door. We do not want customers getting bit, and a lot of the dogs get jealous of who is going to get petted first. So bear with us as we continue to better the Mutt House to keep everyone happy and safe.

PLEASE ABIDE BY PICK UP & DROP OFF TIMES!!!

Just a reminder to please abide by the pick up and drop off times. After hours, we usually only have one person here, and their sole job after and before hours is to attend to the dogs, not the customers---which is why we are closed. So please for the safety of our employees and the dogs, do not come to the door during the hours we are closed. All employees are being told not to answer the door before or after hours. If they are attending to you, they are not watching the dogs. Thanks for understanding.
