GOODBYE TO MEGS & SHELBY  =(

Megs got approved for a work visa in Austrailia.  We wish her the best and will miss her.    Thanks Megs!!!!

Shelby has received a wonderful promotion with Channel, and now will be traveling to New Mexico and Colorado often.  So you still might see him when he stops in to play with the dogs, but will no longer be on the schedule.  Thanks Shelby!!!

We are adding new Pet Pals, so you will see some new faces over the next few weeks.  Probationary Pet Pals currently:  Aimee, Susie & Denise.

We also now have our well rounded position of the "go to" guy, Jerrald, who you will see taking care of the place and ensuring it stays safe and clean for all the little Kiddos & Pet Pals.

Pick Up & Drop Off Times

Please review our pick up and drop off times for Mon-Fri and the weekends.  We will start charging $5 per half hour for late drop offs and late pick ups.  You will have a 10 minute grace period.  By having set times, we keep the dogs on a pretty good schedule throughout the day and keep the dogs on the same level of energy.   This is why half days now are only done the 1st half of the day.

Mon-Fri:  6:30AM-9AM, 12:30PM-2PM, 4PM-7PM

Sat & Sun:  9AM-10AM, 12:30PM-1PM, 3PM-4PM

Thanks!!!!

We want to thank all of you for being a part of our family at the Mutt House.  Thank you for all of your referrals as well.  Remember, every time you refer another pooch to the Mutt House that comes to day care, your pooch will receive a free play day.

Thanks--Steve & Molly

MUTTCAM ISSUES

We know many of you have had issues getting on the muttcam.  Currently, only 10 people can be on the muttcam at a time.  So please do not leave it on your desk top if you are not watching your pooch.  We want everyone to have a chance to view their baby sleeping, playing or getting sprayed during the day.  =)

Also, we have now changed it over to Java, since it seems more widely used.  So you must download Java to be able to view it.  Currently, besides too many people being on the cam at once, the only issues seem to be with people at Enron.  I think they are not allowing Java to be downloaded on your desktops.  If anyone is brave enough to ask your IT dept to do that, go for it.

As money allows, we will upgrade our camera and add more cameras, but for now, this is all we can provide.  We will let you know if we make any more changes soon to help you all out.  Please be patient as we are growing and trying to work up to a positive cash flow to ensure we stay in business.

The Mutt House Foster Dog:

Our newest foster dog from CAP is Cayla. She was recued from the Cayman Islands after Hurricane Ivan.  She is thought to be a Belgium Malanois mix.  She is spayed and micro-chipped.  She is about 1 1/2 years old.  She has been with us now for about two weeks and is just a love of a dog.  She loves to cuddle and play and stay close to you.  She paws at you when you quit petting her.  She loves most other dogs, and would do well with older children or an only dog if she got lots of extra attention.  She will need to be an inside dog, but would love a big back yard to run around in when being supervised.  She appears to be house trained, and has not chewed up anything at the mutt house when left alone besides an occassional hole in her dog bed or blanket.  She can jump fences and is rather large, probably weighing in at about 75lbs.  Please come by and meet her and let your friends know she is here and available.  You can see her pics on the front page of our website.  www.mutthouse.com

RETAIL AREA APPEARING!!!

Our retail area is slowly appearing before your eyes.  So start looking to see what we have to offer when you are dropping off and picking up the kiddos.  We will be trying out different products and are looking for unique products that you cannot get anywhere else. The first 5 people to e-mail me back with what they are feeding their dogs, will receive one free Greenie for their pooch!!!  I would love to hear from all of you though what diet your dog is consuming.  I am looking for an great all natural brand to start carrying that would satisfy the majority of you.  I have a few I am considering, but would love some feedback as well.  So drop me a line.

SEMINARS & TRAINING:

We are looking to bring in some different people for seminars and training on the weekends.  I am currently looking to bring an instructor for TTouch training in April.  We are also looking to bring in some people to talk and educate us on nutrition for our kiddos.   So I would love some feedback on what you are all interested in having here at the Mutt House.

I will start offering group basic obedience classes in the next few weeks, and will post it on the website when I get it all sqaured away.  I hope in the next few months to be able to get away for some additional education for alternative training methods and behavior modifications classes.  Then I will have more to offer all of you in your time of need.  Ha ha...

NUMBERS GROWING FAST!!

The Mutt House now has 72 customers and 87 dogs enrolled.  Most of these dogs come 1 to 3 times a week.  We hope to be full by the end of March.  Then we will have a waiting list.   We will probably not take more than 12-15 large dogs a day and 15-18 small dogs a day.  Be sure your dog is on a regular schedule here, so you keep your place on your favorite days of the week.
